WHAT IS THIS?
The Political Predator League (PPL) is a satirical website that presents publicly documented sex crime convictions involving political figures in an ESPN-style sports format. The tone is dark comedy. The data beneath is deadly serious.
Every entry on this site represents a real person who was charged with, convicted of, or credibly accused of sexual misconduct. Every data point is sourced from court records, news reports, and public documents.
DATA SOURCE & CREDIT
The original research comes from CajsaLilliehook's extraordinary 57-part Daily Kos series, “Republican Sexual Predators, Abusers, and Enablers.” This series documented hundreds of cases with meticulous sourcing.
We have enriched each entry with 5+ additional sources per person, including court records, major news outlets, and government documents. Entries that haven't yet met our sourcing threshold are flagged as “needs review.”
SEVERITY SCORING
Each offender receives a severity score from 0 to 10 based on:
- Crime type weight — child abuse and trafficking score highest; harassment scores lowest
- Conviction status — convicted = full weight; charged = 0.7x; acquitted = 0x
- Position level — federal officials score 1.3x; state officials 1.1x
- Victim factors — crimes against minors score 1.2x; multiple victims add a logarithmic bonus
- Sentence length — longer sentences add a logarithmic bonus
- Multi-charge composite — highest charge score plus diminishing bonuses for additional charges
WHY “BOTH SIDES”?
This database includes Democrats too. The data speaks for itself on proportionality. We believe intellectual honesty requires including all documented cases regardless of party affiliation.
